Wilderland has two websites, one always-on, higher resolution website that is heavier to run, and one experimental, situated site, that is solar powered, and in the Nephin Park
The solar site might not always be on or available, it also has other quirks, and will be slower. Adjust your expectactions for this Permacomputing + Small Web alternative.
Art in the Landscape - Festival of Change is an exciting festival looking at art in the landscape that takes place in Mayo on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th April 2024.
The festival is a collaboration between Offaly County Council, Mayo County Council and Visual Artists Ireland and is funded through the Arts Council’s Invitation to Collaboration Scheme. It will offer an eclectic programme of events and activities, looking at the impact art (both physical and intangible) can have on place and people, socially, economically, and culturally. The festival will be based on two sites in the respective counties: the Tir Saile Sculpture Trail in Mayo, and Lough Boora Sculpture Park in Offaly.
Wilderland is joining the festival to host a Scoping session for local artists who are interested in developing sustainable arts practices, and a creative workshop with artist Elaine Harrington, exploring Place-Making and an artist's view of the landscape.
