Accessing the solar website:

Wilderland has two websites, one always-on, higher resolution website that is heavier to run, and one experimental, situated site, that is solar powered, and in the Nephin Park

The solar site might not always be on or available, it also has other quirks, and will be slower. Adjust your expectactions for this Permacomputing + Small Web alternative.

Castlebar Community Climate Action Talk

DATE: 22 Nov, 2023
TIME: 06:30 PM - 08:30 PM

Castlebar Municipal District Climate Action Talks.

Join us for an introduction to the Wilderland public art and climate action project and hear how we’ll be engaging with communities in Mayo over 2024-25.

We’ll hear how Wilderland will be connecting artists with local communities for art in the landscape and creative workshops exploring natural materials and environmental awareness. Our project partners, The National Parks and Wildlife Service, Mayo County Council’s Environment, Climate Change and Agriculture Department, and the North Mayo Heritage Centre will be speaking on their activities to address the biodiversity and climate crisis, and how you and your community can get involved in people-led climate action.

And TASC Think-tank for action on social change will introduce their People’s Transition, a Community-led Development for Climate Justice model, which we are bringing to Mayo in 2024 and 2025. We'll hear an overview of how they will be engaging with local communities to research nature-based solutions that will help transition to low carbon, sustainable communities that can adapt to the challenges presented by climate change going forward.
